Last Sunday, Deborah Machado (aka Baby Jane) spoke to DotLyrics readers about the importance of writing, her experience in the site, plans for the future, love and friends. During her very informal conversation, she explained her contribution for Felipe Lima's new project [A Brave New World] and how it was the creative process.
"(...)Felipe is such an adorable guy. He's very committed with his work and once he gets in a project he puts his mind and soul on it. I remember when I invited him to work in a song with me. We had a great time together, specially because he was always opened to new experience and, differently from some writers, he wasn't afraid to tried it. When he invited me to compose a piece for his work, I definetly couldn't say no. He said he was inspired by our previosly work, and somehow he got "a vision" from that idea. Three weeks later, the lyric was finished and it was undeniable... Felipe took that idea and brought to his own world. That was freaking amazing and I'm glad to be able to be a part of it.(...)
(...)I couldn't tell exactly what we've done. Felipe will probably cut my head off before I could spell some juicy information about the hit (laughs), but I could say the piece is something complete different what Felipe has already done. The piece talks about an interesting and provocative theme, it is an upbeat tempo song, I remember that while we were writing it we listened a lot of reaggeton groups and singers as Black Chiney, Jazzy T, Bulletproof, Harlem 6, among others. That would be a song for your get in the dancefloor and lose control. And I've may told you more than I should (lol)..."
